May 26th, 2015:  Today at 6:00 pm our first round of chemotherapy ended! Praise the Lord our sweet baby got through it. Today was a little tougher. Due to the nausea early this morning, they added Benadryl to her other meds and it pretty much knocked Charlotte out for the beginning of the day. She woke around 11:30 and asked for pancakes. She ate 2 large ones!
We have started a medicine to help protect her thyroid at her MIGB scan on Thursday. Finally, a medicine that doesn’t taste awful and she can keep down!We spent most of the day in bed watching Despicable Me and Monsters Inc. There were a few hours that Charlotte got up to play. Our friends, the Pratts and Charlottes “best friend” Grey stopped by to give her and I some sweet gifts. She played for a short time but quickly laid back down.
For dinner, she wanted pancakes again! I’m hoping to get this all out now, because we will be changing our diet very soon. She has an IV insertion coming up, please pray that she is calm, The first one was tough. We will also start administering shots tomorrow that will continue at home, pray for both of us!

We are going on 7 days here and are sooo ready to go home. Charlotte keeps asking me if we can go home or ride in our car. We are almost done and will return home Thursday (God willing) They have been so great here at Doernbechers!
