I am writing this from home!!! PRAISE THE LORD! We were able to sleep in our own beds last night! (Well, I did for about an hour before Charlotte asked me to come to her room)
Her counts weren’t ideal but her white blood count was 100 over what we needed it to be for discharge. Tonight we head to Portland. We will check in at 9 pm and throughout the night they will do blood and platelet transfusions. First thing in the morning they will check her stem cell count and hopefully be ready to extract!! We are hoping to set some records tomorrow morning and get it all in one day. More than likely we will have to do it Saturday morning too though. Pray we get it taken care of Friday and Saturday so we can get home to our family and celebrate the fourth! Charlotte keeps asking to roast marshmallows and lately I’ve been a sucker for trying to get her what she wants!
She is doing much better! She randomly jokes around, she is walking more and eating a little more too! This morning she wanted pancakes. I went the paleo route and added flax oil, chia seed, and hemp hearts! She scarfed them down!!
Thank you for your prayers in getting us out of the hospital! Tuesday her white blood count was at 188/0.18, Wednesday (after many prayers) it jumped to 1100/1.1
Please pray for a quick and easy stem cell extraction and our little girls spirits. Lately anything that reminds her of happiness, she wants nothing to do with. Pray that we may find new happiness through this for her. Thank you all!
